Eastern Venezuela Our classic VENT Eastern Venezuela tour involved amazing views of Black-faced Hawk and Harpy Eagle (this was our 18th year having views of Harpy Eagle!). Birding in the Pacaraima mountains was better than ever, as we birded from the same area without sop for more than 4 hours. In this tour we were able to sight 21 tepui endemic species, plus the always rewarding Rufous-throated Antbird and White-plumed Antbird!

Hato Piñero R&E tours are designed for participants willing to have a more relaxed birding experienced. Nevertheless, this does not means a dramatic drop-off in the number of species at all! In a week tour we packed almost 200 species while spent all nights in the same location. There was ample time given for midmorning siesta and prior to each meal. One remarkable aspect of the tour is that we gave enough opportunities to study the tyrant-flycatchers, having seen 30 species of this impressive family.
